Dr. Lexi McKenna

Dr. Lexi McKenna graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now called Sonoran University) in June 2022 and completed the program on the pediatrics honors track. She moved to Arizona from Michigan where she grew up and received her Bachelor in Human Physiology Degree from Michigan State University with a minor in Health Promotion. In college, Dr. McKenna worked as a phlebotomist and, throughout college and medical school, she worked weekends as a nationally certified pharmacy technician. Dr. McKenna began working with a blind and medically fragile toddler as a part-time caretaker when she was just 16 years old. They quickly became inseparable and this relationship has served as motivation over the years for Dr. McKenna to continue her studies and ultimately become a physician to help as many patients as possible.

Dr. McKenna believes in treating the whole person – which includes knowing their family and their interests outside of medical care! She believes in the direct primary care model at Keystone as it allows her to thoroughly get to know multiple generations within one family and provide more comprehensive medical care to each family member individually. While Dr. McKenna hopes you’ll trust her with the care of your entire family, she has special interest in helping you plan for that family as well. Dr. McKenna has completed further training in preconception care for males and females and would love to help couples conceive. Furthermore, she hopes to work alongside your prenatal care team to help mitigate debilitating symptoms that can occur during pregnancy. Additionally, she loves working with hormonal imbalances and the pediatric population.

Her peers describe her as driven, enthusiastic, and empathetic. Dr. McKenna’s goal is to help you achieve your own health aspirations through teamwork. She will ultimately support your healthcare decisions after ensuring you have been given adequate information to make an informed choice. Treatment plans will be fully customized to be realistic and enjoyable for each patient. She incorporates her naturopathic and conventional backgrounds to seamlessly provide patients with optimal wellness and recovery strategies. When Dr. McKenna is not with patients, she can be found exploring the beautiful state with her husband, their infant son, and their two rescue dogs. She also thoroughly enjoys hiking, cooking and baking from scratch, and hearing about your pets!
